Dining Reservation says "Your party may be at separate tables"

I made a reservation for The Crystal Palace for breakfast online. It showed availability for 10:00, party of four so I reserved it. Once the reservation went through, there was a notice that said, "Please note. Your party may be seated at separate tables." it is also on the confirmation email.

I have never seen this before in my many, many trips and obviously don't want the party to be at two separate tables. Anyone else have experience with this?

Would also like to hear peoples experiences of if this ever actually happens!

It's a pretty standard message that comes up frequently. I've gotten it lots of times (party of 3 or 4) and never been split up. I've read on the Dis of parties of 1 getting that message.

Last year we went to Disney with a party of 11 total. When I made our ADR it also told me this. We ate at Ohanas, Chef Mickeys and Cinderellas Royal table. The only place we sat separate was CRT. I wouldn't worry about it much, we were able to eat together and we had a much larger group Have fun!!

We routinely travel with a group 8 or 9 and we have never been split up. We have done the opposite though! We booked two separate tables at the same time since no ADRs were available for the full group. When we checked in at the restaurant we told them we were together and they sat us all together.

I had a party of 17 at Ohana once and we were at one long table.
I had a party of I believe 20 at Cape May and while we were at separate tables, it was all one long row. the tables were broken up into groups of 4 but still all together.

We had a party of 13 for Thanksgiving week..2011....Had ADR's at Ohana's, Boma's, Teppan..., Kozzunia's....we all sat together..
I find if we get to the restaurant a bit early i approach the podium and mention if possible we would like to sit together....even if we are close by that would have been ok...

We have been separated once as a party of 8 at CRT. But the tables were right across the aisle, so we could still chat.

The same thing happened to me this morning...was booking a table for 4 at Crystal Palace for 5:30pm Christmas Eve and I got that same message. Well, I thought it was extremely strange to begin with, seperating a small group of 4 people and since it's Christmas Eve and we definitely do not want there to be a chance of being seperated, I decided to see what other times were available. 5pm was available as well and I did not get the same message so I booked that. I was much more comfortable with that! In all the years I have booked ADR's I have never seen this type of message so personally, it made me a bit nervous, lol

I get this same message all the time! The most I have ever booked for was a party of 6, usually it's only 3, and I still get the message!! Whether I have gotten the message or not, we have never been separated at a meal.

We're a party of 3 and we get that message all the time. My thought is always, fine if you want to watch my 5 and under DD (now 6), DH and I would be perfectly happy to have a separate table! I find it highly unlikely that a party of 3 or 4 would ever be separated. Now, we did see a party of 7 or 8 split at 50's Prime Time last year, and not only split, but put at tables about as far apart from each other as possible in the restaurant. They were not happy. There were parents that had 3 kids as part of the party, so their family had to be split. Didn't make a whole lot of sense to have them that far apart either because the table next to us was just emptying out, and if they had put half the party there, they would not have been too far apart, but they didn't.

I got the message on probably half of my ADRs this time with our party of 6. But we're 5 adults (DH, DSis and my in-laws) and one child, so I'm not particularly worried about it. I figure we're spending 13 days together, sitting separately might actually be a bonus.

Though, one related question - I will have a TIW card on this trip. If they sit our party separately, will we still be able to pay together with the card?

We almost always have groups of 7 to 12 and I get that message all the time when I make the ADRs. But so far at least, we have always been seated together.

They do warn you that it's possible though, so if it ever does happen we'll just go with the flow.
