Cast: Me(32 yo female), Dear Friend(DF) and fellow teacher, and occasionally three 13 year old boys

Yes, we are nuts who took 109 7th and 8th graders to Disney World.

Day 1: Due to very sloooooooow bus drivers, we didn't arrive to ASMo until about 8:30 PM. Sadly, we missed our BOMA ressie, but we hopped on a bus to Rainforest Cafe in DD and walked right in at about 9:30. I didn't even need to show my Safari Card, but I used it and got 7.99 off my order. I also had the $10 coupon, so my meal was a whopping 11 cents.

I ordered the sampler appetizer. It had chicken fingers, crab dip, eggrolls, and calamari. I get this every time that I go, and it's always good.

DF ordered soup and a chicken dish and thoroughly enjoyed both.

The one boy ordered ribs, one wings, and the other the rainforest burger. All were enjoyed. The boys especially enjoyed the atmosphere.

Our service, however, was horrendous. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty, it was still a good ten minutes before our server took our drink order. She didn't bring us our food, and we didn't see her until she brought the bill. Then, our bills were wrong, and it took 23 minutes to straighten everything out. I finally searched for a manager, couldn't find one, and got another server to track down our server.

Overall, meal-A, service D-

Thursday: Lunch was at Sci-Fi. Though this place always gets mixed reviews, I always adore it.

I had the flat iron skillet steak sandwich and onion rings. It was awesome! The sandwich had a very light blue cheese topping and was great.

DF had the chilli and warm apple crisp. She enjoyed both.

The boys had milkshakes, burgers, and fries. They loved them. They got a kick out of the movies.

Our server was Asian and very difficult to understand, but he didn't seem to mind repeating himself over and over again. I'm sure our Southern drawl was strange to him too. But, he was very nice and checked on us several times.

For dinner, my friend and I ate at Liberty Tree Tavern. We had a 6 PM PS, but we were seated around 7. We did not enjoy this at all. The steak was dry, the salad had no taste, and the macaroni and mashed potatoes tasted like they came right out of the frozen food section. We did enjoy the stuffing and the apple cobbler. I guess I'm spoiled to my momma's cooking, and my own homemade macaroni and cheese. We'd never done a character meal without our children, so we felt awkward around the characters. Mercifully, they didn't linger long at our table.

Friday

Le Cellier for lunch. This was as good as everyone says. DF and I split the prime rib sandwich and fries. We also each ordered the cheese soup. It was amazing! The pretzel bread was awesome. We also split the warm apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was so good! Our total bill with sodas, tax, and tip was $40.00, so we felt that we got our money's worth.
Food: A+, Service-A+

For dinner we split a chicken quesidillia(sp?) and fries at the ASMo food court. It was remarkably good.

Saturday

We ate at Flame Tree Barbeque in AK for lunch. DF and I got the pork sandwich with beans and corn on the cob. One boy got ribs, one the 1/2 lb chicken, and one got a chicken sandwich. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this meal. DF and I found a quiet spot by the pond to eat. I had never eaten there before, but I certainly will again. We all got the meal certificates, and enjoyed ice cream sandwiches and bottles of water later that afternoon.

Food: A++, Price-A+++

Saturday night, DF and I ate at San Angel Inn in Epcot. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, but made us both miss our husbands very much! I had the mahi mahi with mashed potatoes. It was okay, but not worth 19.99. DF had the traditional Mexican platter with a burrito, enchilada, and taco. She enjoyed it. Our server was great. He was very attentive, and made us practice our Spanish.

Food: C-, Service-A+, Price-C-

Now, I've got to go on a diet! Hope you enjoyed the reviews!
