Here are my "best of the best" picks as listed in "Universal Orlando: The Ultimate Guide..."
The Talk of the Town
Just as the theme parks have their five-star attractions, there are some very special things in CityWalk. I have not attempted a star rating system for CityWalk but instead offer this highly subjective list of my personal favorites.
Best food. Emerils has to be the choice here with the Latin Quarter running an extremely close second.
Best bar. The funky bar at the back of Cigarz, a cigar shop near the upper exit of the Cineplex is hip and hidden. The bar at Hard Rock Cafe with its spinning Caddy takes second prize.
Best food value. When you factor in what you pay for what you get, Pat OBriens comes out on top, with the Latin Quarter again running a very close second.
Best place to take the kids. The NASCAR Cafe, with the Hard Rock Cafe the runner-up.
Friendliest service. NBA City, with NASCAR Cafe the runner-up.
Best burgers. The Hard Rock Cafe. Have yours with a chocolate milk shake.
Best desserts. The Latin Quarters Crepas Rellenas wins this prize, with Emerils elaborate creations the clear second choice.
Best for the midnight munchies. Finding food after midnight is not always possible, but if Pat OBriens is serving late, thats the clear winner. Otherwise, check out the grazing menu at Jimmy Buffetts.
Most romantic. If youre idea of romantic is letting your date know youre dropping a bundle on the meal, then Emerils is the place for you. Otherwise, youll have to travel to Delfino Riviera at the Portofino Bay Hotel for truly romantic dining.
Most fun. Jimmy Buffetts Margaritaville, with its wild and wacky decor and exploding volcano, wins the prize here.
Best decor. The Hard Rock Cafe. Never has the teenage wasteland looked so elegant.
Coolest. The exquisitely designed CityJazz is one of the hippest, most sophisticated rooms Ive seen in a long time.
