Hi everyone. Sorry for posting one of those thread questions, but I really need opinions. My husband and I are doing a short solo trip (3 nights) at the beginning of September for our wedding anniversary. We've never been without our kids, so it's rather exciting (and I feel a tad bit guilty, lol). My husband said to make whatever ADRs that I want. We will be at Hollywood Studios and Epcot (plus Boo Bash and Universal Halloween Horror Nights), but we will also be staying on resort so I'm open to resort restaurants too.

So help me out - what restaurants are must dos? My husband will eat anything, and I typically eat from the appetizer or kids menu (picky eater). No preference as to what meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner. Counter service or sit down). I've only ever booked character meals because of our kids so I'm truly at a loss as to where else to go! We haven't been since pre Covid either, so it seems new all over again with researching. 🤦‍♀️

Thanks!!

At DHS our favorites are 50’s PTC and Hollywood Brown Derby. At Epcot they are Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Tutto Italia, and Coral Reef.

Husbando and I really enjoyed Hollywood Brown Derby, Takumi Tei, and the Tea at the Grand Floridian - I think the latter two are closed, but the CMs at the tea were so lovely and brought out a special anniversary dessert and such. If you're a partaker in alcohol, Oga's Cantina has a fun atmosphere and interesting drinks though very minimal for food.

Out of park: Raglan Road in Disney Springs is a must on every trip for me - their bread pudding is incredible and sells out. I love Sanaa and Le Cellier too, but haven't been back to either in a bit due to some food preferences on our last trips.

The always popular Hollywood Brown Derby, CG since it has a great view, setting and food; Jiko’s (not sure if it’s open yet), Spice Road Table, and the Japan Pavilion quick service.

Flying Fish if they reopen
Narcoossee’s is always great
Citricos reopen july 15 also always amazing
artist point used to be amazing but i have never been there with the dwafts

I know Be Our Guest isn't for everyone but I love it! The Ambiance, the decor, the food! I know it can be a bit loud, but that doesn't bother me one bit. And watching it snow out the window😍. My husband can take me there any day for dinner!

My DW and I had an anniversary lunch at Brown Derby. The food was good, the CM was good and I recommend it for an in park experience. As for resorts, the best meal I've had on property is a tie between California Grill at the CR and Artist's Point at WL. That was many years ago and my DW and I did not eat their last month (during our anniversary trip). I'm not sure of the quality of California Grill today, but the views and ambiance are spectacular. I think Artist's Point is closed, but I you may want to double-check.

As far as EPCOT is concerned, there are a lot of good places to eat. However, I haven't eaten at enough of the sit-down restaurants to give you a ringing endorsement. I've eat at San Angel Inn and LeCellier. They were both okay. Not bad, not spectacular. I'm guessing that Japan and France have better TS choices.

Since you mentioned you're a picky eater but then said you also do apps, does that mean you like sticking to meat/potatoes/simple flavors or ?? I mean, I'd recommend Morimoto's in Disney Springs in a second, but not if the thought of Japanese flavors is off-putting (that said, the ribs are approachable for anyone, and are mindblowing awesome:))...

For our honeymoon my wife and I really enjoyed narcoossee’s. I can’t really give a ringing endorsement for any TS at DHS. At Epcot, Les Chefs de France is a great TS and Les Halles is one of the best QS in Disney. We also usually eat at Via Napoli and San Angel Inn.

Depending on what is open, our favorites:
California Grill
Jiko
Flying Fish
Monseur Paul
Takumi Tei,
I doubt it will be open, but Victoria and Alberts is spectacular.
