This August will be our first family trip to Universal. I have not been there since 2001 - so it will almost be like my first time as well!

I have just a couple of dining questions:

Is the menu at Mythos the same for both lunch and dinner? I currently have a 4:00pm reservation, but if the menu is the same, I would try to make an earlier one because I just purchased Blue Man Group tickets for that night and wanted to have at least a few more hours in the park after eating since it will be our last day there.

From what I have read, with all of the character meals - with the exception of the Superstar Character Breakfast - the characters are pretty random and can change from day to day. Does that sound right?

We have the Superstar breakfast and the Three Broomsticks Breakfast and are also doing the Cinematic Spectacular Dining package.

I have reserved dinner at both The Kitchen and the Islands Dining Room in hopes that one of them may have some superheroes for my son.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! We are really excited now that we know Diagon Alley will definitely be open when we visit!!

Mythos is the same for lunch/dinner..Alot of times the latest seating is 4pm so the menus are the same.
Characters are indeed random and can change

call the hotel direct and ask them which nights will they be hosting the character dinners.
the characters rotate to the 3 onsite hotels on different days of the week.

you order off the regular menu and the characters should be present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

when i went last time, RPH hosted the characters on a saturday and one weekday.

characters can change so do ask at the hotel, about a week out, if they know which characters will be present

in all the times i have done the character dinners, have not seen the super heroes.
