we don't go to disney til december but i was just wondering when you can prebook your restaurants ?

also i am torn between buying shares or pre booking the dining plan ?

we are staying at sequoia lodge and have already pre booked buffalo bills

i know the shares will give us a discount in the shops but i dont honestly know when we will be going back not for at least 3 years

any thoughts gratefully received

you can make your dining reservations for DLP 60 days before you arrive.
I think the half board dining plans at DLP are too restrictive, and don't save you any money.
You could always get 20 shares, join the shareholders club, then sell them again after your trip if you don't think you'll use them again. That way, as long as you sell them at roughly the same price you bought them, you'd only lose your buying/selling fees (about £12 per transaction). Your shareholders card is still valid for 2 years from the time you apply for it, which means you get your discounts while in DLP in December, but you can also use your shareholders discount for 10% off your purchases at Disney Store UK branches for the 2 years too :).

I'd go for becoming a Shareholder if you can afford it. Remember it's not just the discount on food, you also get a discount on merchandise throughout the resort plus access to Salon Mickey. You'd probably save more than the shares cost in just the one trip...then you can sell them again or keep them for next time. I've had mine 3 years now and I'll never sell them...not only are the discounts worth it but the card you get is awesome lol!

I'd go for shares - discounts are great (don't forget lso vouchers for val D'Europe!) and we found by eating loads at our breakfast buffet then having a late buffet/table service lunch (using our discount) we didn't need antoher meal - we would buy one bottle of soda between 4, as they are way too big to drink all at once anyway, and that wasy we could finish one and dump it and not have anything much to carry:thumbsup2 I reckin we saved way over the costs of the shares on shopping and dining.:goodvibes
