I'm sorry if this has been asked many times, or if it is somewhere on the boards and I have missed it in my research, but does the dining plus plan come with an appetizer, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage for each meal (TS and CS) and one snack per day? I have gotten conflicting info about if an appetizer is included in each table service meal. Thanks for the help!

On the basic plan, you get entree, dessert and soft drink at TS and CS meals...except for breakfast where you get juice instead of dessert.

On the deluxe dining plan, TS meals also include an appetizer, but CS meals do not and neither does breakfast.

Children ages 3-9 get an appetizer at TS meals only, whether you are on the basic DDP or the deluxe plan...but it is usually something like carrot sticks or something like that, not apps from the regular adult menu.

I was worried about downgrading to the regular plan because I believed in the past it included a dessert OR appetizer, not both. I double checked the official brochure for the regular plan and it says that both are included this year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong and why the official brochure is lying. :rotfl:

Sorry, you are wrong. Dessert is included this year, but not appetizers for adults --they've been gone for a couple of years now. But lots of people post this, so you're not the first to read it wrong. The official brochure for the regular plan does NOT say appetizers are included. The reference to appetizers says (age 3-9 only). Look at the brochure again...

And, as pp said, the "appetizers" that are included for ages 3-9 are actually just something like a couple of carrot sticks...or a very small cup of soup. The intention on the kids meals is to make sure they offer a healthy, balanced diet. The kids have a choice of apps, but NOT adult style apps like onion rings or chips & dip. It's those healthy choices, small kid-size servings of fruit, raw veggies or soup.

to Original Poster: you do not get an appetizer on the regular "plus dining" plan. If you want appetizers with your meal, you can either pay OOP, or upgrade to the deluxe dining plan. Guarantee you this is correct...we've gone 6 times since 9/2008 doing both the "plus dining" and the "deluxe dining" so I know these plans backwards & forwards, lol.

Ack! I can't believe I missed that! But it kind of comforts me to know that other people have making the same mistake as well! Thank you for pointing that out!

Disney has three DDPs. They are:

Counter Service DDP (adult $31.99 and child-$9.99)=2 CS meals/night of stay that includes an entree or combo meal, dessert, and nonalcoholic beverage. You also get two snacks/night of stay and a refillable mug for everyone in your party.

Basic DDP (regular season adult-$41.99 and child-$11.99, Peak season adult-$47.99 and child-$12.99)=1 CS meal/night of stay (see above), 1 TS meal/night of stay which includes an entree, dessert, and non alcoholic beverage, plus you get one snack/night of stay. No appetizers and no mug.

DxDDP (adult-$71.99 and child-$20.99)= three meal credits/night of stay that you can use for either CS or TS meals (appetizers are included at TS restaurants for lunch and dinner, but not breakfast). You also get two snack credits/night of stay and a mug for everyone in your party.

This is for 2010. Who knows what the plans will look like for 2011.:rotfl:

Pick them up in the resort food court, take them to the cashier and show her your room key. She will swipe it and give you a receipt showing zero entitlements remaining.

Basic DDP (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per night) is usually what is referred to the Dining Plus plan. Appetizers on that plan in most TS restaurants are restricted to children 3-9 only on the basic DDP. (Many guests reading the brochure miss the "ages 3-9 only" on the appetizer info for TS. Kids must order from the children's menu, they don't get adult appetizers.

On the deluxe dining plan (3 meal credits, 2 snacks per night) appetizers are included for adults AND kids at dinner and lunch TS (appetizers are not included at breakfast or for CS meals).
