Dining plans, private dining, and cruises?

Here's a question I cannot seem to find the answer to - Can you use dining plan credits for private dining for a specialty cruise? We're going to be on the DxDDP in January, so I hate to buy OOP food knowing that we're not likely to use all of our meal credits, but I'm going to try to get a Wishes cruise for DS's birthday and I want to have something more than the soda and bagged snacks that are included with the cruise.

So, does anyone have any experience using DDP credits for private dining that wasn't a room service situation?

hello!! i don't know if you have found out anything but i'm waiting to book my cruise (90 days) and would really like to know if you have any information to share. i have spoken w/ linda at gf in regards to dining but she was vague, more in response to me me not having conf # for boat rental. was hoping this would be a cool wedding "rehersal" dinner.. thanks!

As far as I know the DP does not include private dining on their specialty cruises and 2TS credits for in room dining.

I will have to say that the additional cost for dining on "Breathless" was well worth the extra cost. We also choose to get room service whenever we visit during the 4th of July or New Years Eve so we don't have to handle the crowds and can enjoy the fireworks while dining.
