It's our 1st on-site trip and we've never even eaten on-site before. I've read up on this site and in guide books and here's my plan so far. Have I planned too many buffets or too much of the same type of food? We're staying at WL in October and it's me, DH, and DD (age 5)

Day 1: Whispering Canyon Dinner
Day 2: Princess Castle - breakfast (we HOPE)
Hoop Dee Doo (have ressies) 5:00
Day 3: Rainforest Cafe - late lunch - We have a 25$ coupon
Day 4: Poly Luau (have ressies)
Day 5: V & A (yeh! I can't wait for this one-DD will be at
Neverland)
Day 6: Liberty Tree (have resises for 6:00 before MNSSHP
Day 7: Fantasmic Package: MR

We plan on most breakfasts to be in the room and quick and maybe some counter food for a couple lunches. What do you think! Any addition or deletion recommendations! I open to any and all comments

We are doing sort of the same thing. We are going to eat quick and light in our room each morning and then counter service usually for lunch.
I have herad good things about Whispering Canyon form people on here as well as a cousin who has gone there several times.
Princess breakfast .... well of course!!!!:)
Hoop-de-doo.. once again heard great things and have never heard of anyone not liking it.
Rainforest cafe... not somwhere I would pick but with a $25 coupon I would go also!!!!!
I have heard some good things about the poly luau but then again some people are not that thrilled.
I would not say that you have planned too much or too much of the same thing at all.
Good luck and have fun:)

I think it looks great. Just enough to have some nice sit down meals but not tie to a tight schedule.

Thanks to you all! I had my DH read the thread that on the Luau last night and we are seriously considering canceling this and replacing it with Ohana's. I read a little about Ohana's and I didn't realize that it would be entertaining for my then to be 6 YO DD. I'm not sure the Luau would be worth the time and money based upon that thread :earseek: Thanks for that menu link, it's great!

I think your 6yo might be bored at the Luau (I know there were long stretches where I was having trouble staying focused!). Have never been to Ohanas, but have read so many great reviews, and it sounds like you can enjoy your meal and keep the kids entertained at the same time!

From what I have heard about Ohana's I think you will be happier there. I have heard it is fun for children also.
Once again... Have a great trip We will be going in November so we will look forward to your reviews!!:sunny:

I haven't done the Luau, but I don't think we ever will. 'Ohana is definitely entertaining, for all ages. On top of that, the food is good - and I'm probably not going to risk twice the price of 'Ohana to try out the Luau when I know that I love 'Ohana.

Forever42: Wow, everything looks sooo good. Thanks for the great pictures! Can't wait to "see" whispering canyon! How about V&A (Ok, maybe that's what you meant by "within reason") :teeth:

You are all wonderful! Thanks for your time and encouragement!:D

You have chosen well and are going to have some great meals.Looking forward to your reviews when you return.::yes:: :wave2:
