I thought I had had a pretty good grip on this, but then I read something that has me second guessing myself.

We have a deluxe studio at AKL-Kidani on points in April. I am planning on purchasing our park tickets from an authorized reseller and then calling member services to add the dining plan. However, what I just read stated that a room, tickets, and dining plan must be purchased together. But then it said there are modifications for AP holders and DVC members. Are these modifications that I CAN purchase tickets from an authorized reseller and then call to add the dining plan?

Also related to the dining plan, when the check comes, do we have to have all 4 magic bands scanned or can I just give mine and that will deduct one from each account?
 
The room, DP, & tickets are a package that Disney sells for cash paying guests.
DVC room and the DP - DP must be booked and paid for at least 48 hours before arrival.
You do not have to wait until you get tickets to purchase the DP.
You only have to have tickets added to MDE to book FP+.
You only have to have a room reservation added to MDE to add DME.
 
Just one magic band is needed. The dining and snack credits are added to the room, not individual people. Everytime you use a credit, it deducts from the room total, but everyone needs the dining plan to use it.
