Does anyone understand this? :confused3
We are planning a trip in August and We want to eat a a few sit down restaurants and a character meal. I am confused about the vouchers and stuff though.
Thanks for any help! :hippie:

The vouchers are a pain......not money saving at all & in the long run, you could actually lose money on them. If you haven't paid for the dining plan yet....don't. You will get dollar amt vouchers ($15, $10) that you use to pay for your meal. You will not get change back on these, so you go thru the vouchers to make sure you're getting as close to the amt, without losing money on them. The character voucher needs to be used on the most expensive of the character meals offered as that is the price you paid for it.

We've done these once & will never do them again. We prepay on Disney gift cards & use them. Much easier to deal with, carry & after each use we know what our balance is.

The character meal vouchers are sometimes a savings because Disney raises the price of their character meals during peak times. Many of the character meal vouchers include all the tax & gratuity so you don't have to worry about a thing but eating and enjoying the characters. The dining plans are not worth it and actually a pain. It isn't useful like the WDW dining plan.

Just reread my post and realized it sounds funny. I should have said "you don't have to worry about a thing but eating your meal and enjoying the characters." You don't want to eat the characters...
