Dining plan ?

Hey everyone. We are in the process of planning our first trip to meet the mouse in late september. I have a couple of questions and thought id ask the experts here on the dis. Anyway My wife really wants to go to chef mickey's an I was wondering how that would work with the dining plan. Also, if we decide to stay off site can we still eat at the other resorts? I know we won't be able to get the dining plan though. Thanks in advance

I'm probably not the best person to answer this question, but I'll give it a go anyways! I'm sure someone else will be along soon to help as well!

With the dining plan, you just make your reservations for Chef Mickey's and let them know you are on the dining plan when checking out (and present your room key). The dining plan is not offered, though, unless you are staying at a Disney resort. Either way you can still make your reservations at Chef Mickeys. You can, as far as I know, eat at any restaraunt at Disney (in the parks or at resorts) even if you stay off site.

Thanks for the help cajun princess. I just wasn't sure if i could use the dining plan since chef mickeys is a buffet.

Um, Mouse is capitalized.

CM is 1 tb on the dinning plan. And you can eat anywhere you want on Disney property.
