Has anyone stayed at tiheir DVC and got the dining plan. IF so, how much for adults? and Kids? and is it true that we must purchase a theme park ticket? Would the Halloween party count? and lastly, can I add on nights at Carribiean beach and pay cash??
If you're staying at DVC on points you don't have to buy any tickets to use the dining plan. But you do need to purchase it for everyone in your room for the entire length of stay (length of stay is based on nights, not days). I think it's $37.99 per adult and $11.99 per child.
You cannot extend your stay on cash at Caribbean Beach through member services. You can only extend your stay at Caribbean Beach on points through member services. If you stay on cash at Caribbean Beach you'll have to make the arrangements directly with Disney and purchase the dining plan at that time. I believe you WILL need to purchase tickets to get the dining plan this way (it's part of the Magic Your Way package). I don't think tickets for MNSSHP will count.
For the remainder of 2006, it's $37.99 for adults (10 and older) and $10.99 for kids 3-9. For 2007, the adult price is $38.99 and the kids price remains the same.
You can't use DDP for the Halloween party. In fact, you can't use your regular park tickets either. It's a separate ticket.
Incidentally, there is an entire separate board devoted to the Dining Plan over on the Restaurants Section of the DIS. The two Sticky's at the top of the page should be read first, because they contain just about everything you need to know.
