We are doing the dining plan and we have a 2 yr old. When we eat at non buffet resteraunts...does she not get to order? How does that work?

At non-buffets, a 2yo is expected to eat of the parents' plate. People have reported some restaurants giving you a small amount of food, special for the toddler, like a side of vegetables, but I wouldn't count on that. You could order something for her if she's a big eater, but you'll have to pay for it.

as the PP said, some will give you plain noddles or veggies for the lil one but others expect them to eat from your plate. The same that some will give you some milk and others don't. I thin it depends on where you eat(if it's Disney operated or not), the waiters and how busy they are

And if you specifically order the 2 year old something, expect to pay for it, and be pleastantly surprised if it is free. A poster on another thread was criticizing a restaurant that charged for a child's meal which they had ordered.

Yes, there was a post from someone who thought the policy was that kids under 3 can get their own meals free at all restaurants, which isn't the case. It's only the buffets, all you can eat, fixed price restaurants and dinner shows.

As for what any individual restaurant will do there are reports of some restaurants providing kids with their own meals for free, but that's not the typical policy and some have been denied free meals for an infant at the same restaurants.
