Dining plan surprises

After seeing so many people with questions about Teppan Edo on here, I got nervous. We leave in 8 days and have ADRs there. The CM I spoke with checked and assured me that Teppan Edo is still on the regular dining plan, not just the deluxe plan. I sure hope she was right and when we get there for dinner, we won't have to leave and find somewhere else to eat (on the fly)!

We found that Yak & Yeti was very lenient on what the kids on the kids dining plan could order. We didn't even ask but our waiter came right out and told us that my son could order whatever he wanted for an appetizer, meal or dessert off either menu. He ended up ordering off the kids menu because of his tastes but the waiter told us this twice before we ordered.

On our last night we had alot of snack credits to use up. We were in Frontierland and had a craving for a pretzel. We always dip our pretezels in cheese. So we ordered 2 pretzels and 2 cheese cups. This was suppose to total up for 4 snack credits. However the CM told me the cheese was not considered a snack credit. I was confused because on the menu the cheese sauce has a purple square symbol meaning snack. She told me even though it has that sign it has changed and they no longer honor that as a snack so I had to pay OOP.

It was not a big deal, we just still had 2 more credits to use and I was a big annoyed because it had the snack credit symbol.

The question was whether it was included at all b/c I have conflicting information! Doesn't matter now though! We both called and got confirmation that it is included on the dining plan. My list of restaurants says it is, but my reservation sheet says it isn't. I think when they updated the dining plan information on the reservation page, there was a mess-up b/c two people said it is included! I am stoked b/c I thought I would have to pay out of pocket. We wanted the kids to experience it, and thought we would like to pay OOP instead of missing it altogether!

I was upset too! That's why we decided it was worth it to pay OOP. The kids have never had hibachi style food, so we thought it would be fun. Well, crisis averted!
