dining plan - split checks question

Greetings. We are traveling with friends on an upcoming trip. My family is using the dining plan while they are not. We are two groups of 5. For convienience, most of our dining reservations were booked as a party of 10. I realize that many times, we may be at different tables. However, either way, will there be any problem in getting two checks (one OOP and one Dining Plan) for our group?

No, not a problem especially if you identify to the server before ordering, who is in which party.

Just be aware that the more-than-6 automatic gratuity policy will still apply and will appear on both checks, based on what is on each check.

We've done this before and it's not a problem. Just be sure to tell the server exactly which people will be using the DDP and which will not. Also check to make sure they got it right on the check when it comes.
