Dining Plan ?s

I really don't know much about the dining plan and I'm curious to know how much it costs. I know there's different 'plans' depending on what you want. If you're a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 young child) which plan do you buy and how much does it cost?

I'm trying to figure out if this is a better option for us than just paying out of pocket. I just don't know where to start to accumulate the info!

Here are the prices from the website. My family of five usually purchases the Regular Dining Plan (which is referred to as "'basic" below). This provides one CS, one TS and one snack per day. If you are a huge fan of sit-down meals then the Deluxe may be for you. For our family it would be way too much food and find that the basic serves us well. If you prefer all counter service meals, the quick service would be the best option.

I think it really depends on the ages of your children and what type of meals you're interested in having to determine if dining plan will make snese for you.

This trip, both of my kids are still children prices so the dining plan makes sense for us- this trip. Next trip...maybe not so much.

We're doing a TS meal each night for dinner and based upon the prices of just those dinners- it will more than pay for the dining plan. So, to me it is like my family is getting a counter service and snack meal for free each day.

I would start by looking at menus of some places you'd like to eat at and check out prices. If you will be ahead financially- then go for it! Just keep in mind that gratuities are not included in the dining plan...you'll need to add that cost into the mix.
