Dining plan restrictions based on resort type?

I've had a vacation saved in my online cart for a day or two (waiting to get vacation time approval).

Our plan was to stay at AoA, because it will blow my son's mind, and to get the deluxe dining plan (because we have a LOT of character meals on the to-do list).

When I initially priced the trip this didn't seem like it was going to be a problem, but when I logged in to book the trip tonight I received a message in my online cart that said my dining plan was not available for my resort type and thus had been removed from my cart.

If I'm staying at a Value, am I not allowed to purchase the Deluxe plan?

Any and all insight is appreciated!

I haven't heard anything about not being able to buy DxDDP at a value. It makes no sense, and I would guess it's a glitch. You could either call for a quote, or perhaps you want to log out and try the quote not logged into your account and see what comes up that way.

I wonder if you tried to add the Platinum plan by accident. You cannot add a Platinum Plan to a Value resort. Deluxe Dining shouldn't be an issue though.

The website is full of issues lately. There is no issue with adding the DXDP to a value. Just rebook it or call.
