So I have been debating on adding the dinning plan on to my reservations. After going over the numbers it looks like on certain days we would benefit while on other days we would lose out. I know this probably seems like cheating but would any one know if on my 10 day stay I could buy a 5 day dining plan and use the credits over the 10 days?

No. The Dining Plan is tied to the nights booked and credits start at check in and expire at midnight of the check out day.

You could split your hotel stay between two resorts and only book the dining plan for one of them.

Your post made it sound like maybe you didn't realize you get all of your credits up front on the day you check in. So, you can use 3 table services in 1 day and then none for the next 2 days. Your credits are based on the number of nights you are staying (not the number of days).

As suggested.... You could split your stay. If you booked 2 5-night stays... You could then use your credits over 6 days. Not over all 10 days... But you could use them from check-in day, to check out day... So 5 nights, used over 6 days.
That's as much as you can spread it out.

Fact is, if you could do what you're suggesting, then everyone would do that. Most days and meals are not saving money under the dining plan, at least not for adults. You really have to dine in a very specific way to save any real money under the dining plan (always want dessert and beverage with every meal, always want full lunch and full dinner (never want breakfast instead of full lunch or full dinner..), never dine at signature restaurants or shows, do dine at lots of lunch and dinner buffets, never drink alcohol instead of a soda, never order an appetizer as your meal, and almost always order the most expensive entree on the menu.
