Dining Plan Question

Have friends at DTD right now. They have 4 adults and 2 children. All only have 1 TS credit left. They didn't realize until they got there that Fulton's is 2 credits per person. They're making them pay out of pocket for all meals. Why can't they pool credits and 1 couple use their 2 credits for 1 meal, the other 2 the same, pay OOP for the others? Is this correct? Thanks in advance.

eta: as long as they're all on the same reservation. Two adults can use two credits, one child can use two credits, the other two adults and the other child pay out of pocket. If they're on separate reservations, one adult from each reservation uses two credits, and nobody uses the child credits.

The waiter wouldn't let them. Said they all had to "pay" in the same way and so all had to have 2 credits each. Sounded fishy to me. It was 1 dining reservation for 6 people who were in 2 rooms.

That does seem strange. Hopefully they can grab another meal before leaving.

There may have been a problem with the way everything was rung up on the bill. They need to know which items are being paid for by the dining plan when you order because it all goes on a separate tab. That said, I can't imagine it would be too difficult to void it out and re-ring everything, but you might have needed to get a manager involved.
