Dining Plan question

Hi guys, I'll try to make this simple...

We didn't any points left, so we rented points to make our upcoming Thanksgiving trip.

DH, kids, & I have APs, & we're bringing my parents, who have purchased their 8 day tickets thru Disney & have received them in the mail.

We check in on Nov. 21st. My parents will arrive before us that day. I don't think they'll be able to check-in & get their room keys with the dining plan on them, because the DISer we've rented from has the room in my DH's name. Am I right?

If they are listed on the reservation, they can check-in. If they do, they will have to pay for the dining plan for everyone.

I don't know if their names are specifically on it or not. I do have the actual confirmation sheet because the DISer that rented out to us sent it to us. It is a confirmed reservation for "and it lists my DH's name". It does say "Number of Guests: 6", and that is the correct number.

I guess my parents can just try & see what happens. If they can't check-in, we'll just be arriving 4 hours later or so. Thanks!

If you gave their names to the person you rented from, they should be listed as guests in the room. And since the confirmation says 6 people, they should have 6 names. As I point out, if they do check into the room, they will have to pay for the dining plan for all 6 people. They could also just take their keys and let the front desk know that you will pick your up later.

I'd expect DVC required the names (and ages for any under 18). Thus any adults listed should be able to check in.
