Dining plan question

Hello, all.
I have a question about the dining plans. If you purchase the dining plan now, can you use them next year or do you have to use them when you are booked to be there, and then they expire if you don't use them?
Thanks,
Linda

I believe the vouchers usually expire at the end of the calendar year. We were able to use ours last year over 2 trips(February and November), but that was because it was before the expiration date.

They do expire at the end of year, I think my last ones were good until Jan 2nd or so. One year we were able to use them on 2 trips as well.

They do have expiration dates. We have some from May that expire on January 15, 2009. If you are thinking of buying some (I would reconsider, but that's just my opinion), I would ask whomever you are buying them from when they expire just to be sure. Are you thinking of buying more than you need for some reason, or just anticipating there will be extras?

Yes, I was thinking about buying the 3 day dining from GAT or AAA to have when we go to Ca for Christmas to visit family, just in case we could go for a day, otherwise, we are scheduled to go 4-5-09 thru 4-09-09. So, it would be better to get gift cards? I am trying to get as much organized and paid, etc as possible. We will be bringing breakfast and snack items for sure.
Thanks for the response! I think I will stick to getting gift cards when I get a few extra $$ here and there. The plus with that is any gift cards we do not use, I can book another trip to Disneyland! :dance3:

Truthfully, having done the dining plan before, I think the gift cards are a much better idea! We found the vouchers to be a pain in the bum and ended up ordering way too much food (that was wasted anyway) just to use up the voucher - you do not get change back.

With the gift cards, you can do what you want, where you want, and also get things besides food :thumbsup2
