Dining Plan question

Help Please!
I am a frequent lurker, and I have a question about the DDP, that I could not find the answer to on the wonderful FAQ! DH, DD2 and I are staying at the AKL this July, and we are on the DP. I know you can share TS credits, but
can you use 1 TS credit, and order a separate entree OOP or do we have to both use the credits at the same time? We are already planning to pay OOP for a kids meal for DD. I just can't see us eating that much food. I'd rather save a credit. Thanks for any help!

If you cann't eat that much food then why are you saving cerdits?

They are only good for the time you are there they don't carry over. They are only good until 12:00pm the day you check out. What good will alot of extra cerdits do you?

I don't understand people wanting to save cerdits unless you want to go to a 2 cerdit TS.

Why pay OOP for DD when her meals are already paid for with the plan? You'll just end the trip with all your DD cerdits.

To answer your question, yes, you can use them however you like. We ordered OOP for my dd every meal except HDDR. I also used only 1 TS at Mama Melroses for my DS and paid OOP for everyone else(there were 4 of us) without any problems. Have fun!

Actually "DD2" is only two years old and not on the meal plan. We are eating at 9 TS and only have 6 TS credits per person. We are staying 7/9-7/15, eating breakfast and dinner at TS. We will have to pay OOP for a few of those meals. I was just wondering since I can'y see us eating 2 apps, 2 ents. & 2 desserts if I can just use 1 credit at a time. Our credits will be used up long before we check out. But, thanks for taking the time to respond.

For my DW and I spliting a TS meal for lunch means we can now enjoy two different TS meals at two Different disney TS restaurants. It give us variety. Not to mention you are only paying per "night" so if you are there for 3 nights you will more than likely be in need of 4 days of food. Conserving Credits will allow for the extra day of food.

I want to try the Sci Fi diner, but we are only going to use 1 TS because we will eat at Le Cellier later that evening. My DS (16) and I had a hard time eating more than 1 TS in a day last summer, and we shared one appetiser and skipped desserts too. It makes more sense to share a meal and not waste half of the food.
