Dining plan question for the kids plan

WE bought dining plan for next trip.... Hoping free dining will be offered , no debate on value, for us, I like the pre buy, and from my calculations we will make out pretty well for value.

My question is for the QS credits, do the kids get dessert too?

Example. At cosmic rays kids get a turkey sandwich with grapes, carrot sticks and milk for around $5.50. Do they also get a dessert? So add the $3.50 gelato as well? So there meal totals $9.00? Or do their meals come with a kids dessert.. Or are the grapes the dessert ( which I am ok with)

When I was there in 2010 most CS kids meals came with two sides, with typical choices being carrots, applesauce, grapes. That was it. In many places, you could substitute the two sides, for cookies, french fries, etc. So dessert for my kids was always grapes or a cookie.

You usually can get a cookie as dessert, but it is one of the sides listed. You will get to choose your entree and one side and one dessert, so if two sides are listed, one would be considered the dessert. Usually we would get grapes, apples or a cookie for dessert for the kids.

The kids QS desserts at cosmic rays is grapes or carrot sticks. Some places will let you sub for a cookie. They do not get the chocolate or carrot cake like the adults.

I'll just add that the kids' cookies are prepackaged chocolate chip cookies. We usually just got the kids two sides and let them share our desserts since they were so much better anyway.

Yeah I think this is what we did, we shared their fruit they shared our cupcakes. We did the ddp last time in aug 2011 and I couldn't remember.
( do remember those bagged cookies though... Dh loves though... Me not sooo much!)

When we were there in Feb (using the DxDDP) we were told that the grapes were his dessert. Considering we were on the DxDDP I really expected him to get a real dessert, but anywhere fruit was listed as a side he didn't get one. What's bad is that with the DxDDP you are also supposed to get an appetizer at TS restaurants. Those celery sticks listed as a side was also his appetizer, so he didn't get anymore food on the DxDDP, than he would have on the basic DDP.
