Dining Plan & Making Deposits for PS-NEED HELP!

Just have a question as it is almost the day to start making PS! We will be using the MYW Plus Dining. When making PS for things requiring a deposit (CRT, PSB, HDD, Luau, etc.), how does that work? Do you mention that you will be on the dining plan and then they don't do a deposit, or do you have to go about getting refunds of deposits to your credit card after the fact? Thanks to those of you in the know!

When I made our PS's, only 1 was one that normally would've required a deposit. (b'fast at CRT) The CM asked if we were on the dining plan, which we are, and said they would take our credit card info, but we would not be charged since we're on the dining plan. But, if we don't cancel, we will be charged the deposit amount.

I'm not on the Dining plan but the Premium plan. Same experience.

I only made a PS for the Mickey's Backyard BBQ but wasn't charged, just took our CC number.

Same thing for our tours, just took our CC numbers but nothing was charged.

I do tell them right after I tell them what I want that we are on the Premium plan.

I guess I need to check my statement to be sure, but the CM told us we would be charged the deposit for CRT, and refunded once we used the dining plan. No other ones were charged though.

I thought that when i made PS for the PSB that the CM took my credit card # and said that since I was on the dining plan, that I wouldn't be charged unlesss I didn't show up. We have to cancel48 hrs. in advance or be charged the deposit.

I had the same experience when I booked ours - 48 hrs to cancel or be charged the deposit.

Hmm... I'm on the dining plan too, have made several P.S.s with characters, and no one has said a thing about charging me--just that there's a $10 fee if we cancel w/i 48 hrs of P.S. Hmm...

Excellent Thread!! We were wondering the same thing unfortunately we have almost 4 months before out PS's begin Can I ask the tag fairy to skip giving me a tag and just transport us to the world already!!

Thanks for the info., and you all are right! I booked a PS for HDDR and they only took the cc info in case of a no-show, no charges now. Appeciate your help!

I know that feeling!!! I'm closer though - next month I can finally make our PS - now let's hope we get the times I want!!! Otherwise I'm not sure what I'll do...I may have to *gasp* wing it! I've been planning for 2 years and this point time is DRAGGING......

I have the MYW plan. When I called for the Luau he took my credit card number but said it would not be charged and that if we didnt show up the dining credits would disapper..I didnt really get why he needed the cc # but maybe they havent worked all the kinks out...
