Hello!
My son and I are going to disney in April. I purchased the dining plan. I have booked several restaurants thus far, but I am at a loss for the last ts dinner. Here is what I have so far: Oh and by the way........my son is picky and for the most part he only likes chicken nuggets , and the basics (he's 8)!! Any and all ideas appreciated!!

SUnday (day of arrival)
Mk--liberty tree character dinner

Monday-- need idea
we will be at Epcot during the day

Tuesday--sci fi dinner theatre
MGM during the day

Wednesday--Chef Mickeys
Animal Kingdom during the day

THursday---need idea
At our resort during the day
possibly at Mk in the evening

At Epcot you may want to consider the Garden Grill, which is a character meal.

At MK, there is the Crystal Palace, which is a buffet character meal.

The Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge would also be a good option.

Our sons are very similar!

My DS7 only eats chicken nuggets, steak, spaghetti, pizza, or hot dogs.
That is all he has for meals at home or in restaurants. Nuggets are his favorite. I buy Weaver frozen chicken nuggets. My freezer is full of them.

He brings bologna for lunch on school days.

We have the dining plan for our 8 day stay later this month.

We have scheduled a buffet dinner meal for each night of our stay (this way we hope to find something he will like) except Liberty Tree Tavern which is not a buffet...but DD11 really wants to go there. I'm beginning to have 2nd thoughts about this restaurant because I've read that it's just like Thanksgiving food. Well, on Thanksgiving we had to make, you've guessed it....chicken nuggets for him.

I think buffets are your best bet because of the variety.

I second the Garden Grill. My DH who is also very picky looks forward to a meal here. The character interaction here is great as well.

Thanks for the ideas! The garden grill it is................I knew their were other mom's out there with picky children! :rotfl2: If anyone else has any ideas feel free to post. I still have 1 night to fill!

not sure but i think the ltt would be 2 so you can't plan 1 dinner every night on the plan..

just to make sure i called the reservation line! The character dinners only take 1 credit!

The Garden Grill is an excellent choice. As far as the character dining using two of your credits, it doesn't. Signature Dining will take up two credits. The character dining will only use up one table service credit on the dining plan.

Effective 2/1/06, CRT becomes 2 TS credits. All other character dining remains 1 TS credit.

For Epcot I would go to Le Cellier without a doubt! We also ate at the Garden Grill which is a nice character meal, but you already have one. Whispering Canyon Cafe was a lot of fun, and it is a quick boat ride from MK. My boys are 6 & 2 and are picky as well and enjoyed there meal, most Disney restaurants have great kids menus. To find out what characters are at which CD go to intercot.com. Good luck! :earsboy:

have you looked at the menus at allearsnet?

http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

these were a huge help for me in making decisions. I wanted to have an interesting variety for the 3 of us that are adventureous eaters, yet have something available for my daughter who will be living on chicken strips and buttered pasta while at WDW. there are other things she will eat, but those are the mainstays.

We've chosen
dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare
dinner at Mama Melrose (MGM)
lunch with the princesses at Epcot
dinner at Whispering Canyon
dinner at Flying Fish (adults only - kids at a kids club for Chicken nuggets etc)
dinner at Le Cellier
dinner at Kona Cafe

I'm planning on trying fun counter service stuff, but getting the chicken strip basket for DD if necessary.
