I wasn't sure if this belonged on the theme park or restaurant board so I just decided to post it here and get mom advice.

We are taking DD3 and DD20months to Disney in April. My youngest DD is definitely my eater. DD3 kind of goes through phases. We normally order each of them a kids meal when we are out. So I guess my question is - can I add the dining plan for younger DD since she doesn't need a ticket? If we did have to get her a ticket - could we apply the price of her one day base pass to DD3's ticket? Am I making any sense at all? I have an AP so we are all getting one day base passes and then upgrading them when we check in.

Hope I haven't been too confusing! Thanks!!

My 17mo old is our eater. I don't think you can get the ddp for him though since he doesnt have a ticket. Our little guy ate free at buffets and had a portion of ours and the two other kids meals for all other meals. If I wasnt sure if there would be enough for him, I ordered a kids meal for him while there.

Can't get the DDP for child under 3. I tried for my 27 month old. They said he can eat "free" from buffets and Family style restaurants or share food from an adults plate. Most of the ADRs we tried to book were buffets/family style. We're also going to Mama Melrose's @DHS. From what I've heard, the portions are quite big so it should be easy to share with him. For counter service meals, we're just going to buy him a kids meal ($4-5) or pack an uncrustable, fruit and crackers and take it into the park with us. Hope that helps.

I wouldn't worry about it. When you eat at the buffets or family style, they eat free. The kids meals at the other meals are only $5-7 I think. BUT, if you would feel better, you can just say they are 3, buy a ticket and then go from there. Figure out where you will be eating and see if it would be cost beneficial.

I would just pay OOP for a kids meal for your younger child when you eat at CS or TS that arent buffets. You will come out cheaper as you would have to purchase a ticket for that child as well as the dining plan. You wouldnt even have to pay for a meal at the buffets as those under 3 eat free anyway.
