Dining Plan dates question...

So, to clarify, I seem to recall hearing that if free dining was for certain dates, if your trip had any day fall in those dates you got the free dining for the whole trip. Am I mis-remembering or did I just get bad info?

I am asking because I got a PIN for free dining but it doesn't start until the 11th and I would like to arrive the 8th or 9th and leave the 12th or 13th. Would my whole trip qualify for free dining or not?

Will also post on another board as I'm not sure of the traffic on this one! TIA!

Nope, doesn't work. You would need to check-in on a date in the promo period.

As the pp said, you would have to check in on a day that is included in the promo. If you check in on the last day FD is available, then your whole trip would include FD; however, it doesn't work if FD starts in the middle of your trip. A lot of people do room only for the days prior to the start of FD and then book a FD package for the remaining nights of their trip, but that wouldn't work for you if you leave the 12th or 13th as FD requires a minimum 3 night stay.
