Just wondering if it's worth it, our quotes with and without the dining plan (7 nights) is a different of just under $800CAD. Total being for 7 nights just over $2300CAD - is it worth it? We'll definately skimp out on breakfasts - bringing in cereal and bagels to eat for brekkie every morning.

I'm trying to decided whether it would be worth it for my family. I think it all depends on your individual circumstances. We usually only have two sit down meals at WDW during our 6 days and we would either eat breakfast in the room or have a large breakfast, early counter service supper and snack in the evening. So I don't think it would save us any money from our regular habits. It would cost us about $130 a day and I know we wouldn't normally spend that much. But it would be nice to be able to try some of the sit down restaurants and not worry about the cost, as well as having our meals prepaid. I'm thinking that for us the convenience just might be worth it.

Dh and I looked into and added up our reciepts from last years trip ( yes he kept alll the food reciepts :confused3 ) And for us it wasnt worth it. We only do table service perhaps 2 or 3 times our whole visit and we never get appitizers or dessert. For us we know we wouldnt eat half of what they were giving us. So we decided not to do it.

The advantage of the dining plan is it allows you to experiment and eat at new restaurants (ones you normally wouldn't go). We used the dining plan last Fall, and visited many new restaurants (including two phenomenal meals at Le Cellier).

$800 for 7 days is pretty cheap for food - and it includes taxes, plus tips for sit down meals (in doing the quick math it seems like you have two adults and one child). I think it is actually a little less expensive ($87USD per day * 7 days = $609 US / $720 CDN)
