Dining Plan Changes for 2008

Well there you go. The dining plan will change in 2008 and appetizers and the gratuity have been done away with . The cost has gone down 1 dollar per person per night but the value has gone down 15 to 20 percent according to Mousesavers.

Now we never order apps otherwise here at home and sure don't need the extra fat and calories but we really loved treating ourselves in Disney! Plus the gratuity being done away with makes me wonder if the dining plan is still good value at all.

Thats disappointing. I think the Dining Plan is still a value at $37.99/day for adults & $9.99/day for children. But for those of us who are use to the Plan, its a big jump. It's like we're paying for services that we are no longer receiving. I mean you save a dollar a day but you would tip a lot more than a dollar for a meal and appetizers are worth anywheres between $5-10. It doesn't really seem like a "deal" when your use to getting so much more for your dollar but if you add up the cost of one quick serve meal and one table serve meal I'm sure it would still come out more than $37.99.
