Dining Plan before checkin

We will be arriving before noon. Check in is not until 3:00. Can we register and get the dining plan card for our noon meal on that day or do we need to pay OOP?

You can check in, get your keys and get started enjoying your vacation as soon as you get there. If your room is not ready, you will be given a number to call later to find out your room number.

Absolutely check in to your Disney resort as soon as you get there. We normally do so early in the morning. On most occasions we were fortunate enough to get our room right away. It all depends on how many people are staying at the resort when you go. If a room is not available the Cast Member at the front desk will process all your paper work and issue you your room keys, etc. They will also hold any luggage you may have until later in the day.
The 3pm means you are not guaranteed a room until that time. Check in right away!

The dining plan is for the amount of nights that you are there--so yes you could use the dining plan for that day. It is good from the day you check in until midnight the night that you check out. So whatever you do not use on your first day since you will not be getting there until late could be used on your last day. I hope that this makes sense.

We always check-in as soon as we arrive on property. We store our luggage with Bell Services. At check-in you will be given your room keys, your park tickets will be encoded on your room key, as will be your Dining Plan credits - one plastic card for everything. Yes you will be able to use your credits for a meal as soon as you arrive. If your room is not ready, you will be given a telephone number to call and check on its availability during the afternoon.
In October, we were checked in, had all of our documents, tickets, meal credits etc and on our way to enjoy Epcot for the afternoon by 12:45. Our room was ready at 3 PM when we called. At that time they give you the number of the room encoded on your key and you are all set. Either stop by Bell Services on your way to your room, or give them a call when you are in the room and they will promptly deliver your luggage to you.

Remember that you cannot add the dingin plan at the hotel--you must add it before you get there.
