Dining Plan and Fantasmic

Hi-- I have a couple questions concerning the Fantasmic dinner package:

Can it still be done with the DDP?

Is there a set menu for the Fantasmic package at the Brown Derby, or do you order from the regular menu?

Since the regular dinner package includes an appetizer, is that also the case using the dining plan for the package?

I booked Mama Melrose with the fantasmic package. It is 1 DDP credit (i believe Brown Derby is 2)

appy included (even on DDP) but not tip.

You should be able to order off the menu from what I understand there is not a set menu.

When you take care of the check they give you your tickets for special seating at FAntasmic.

Pray it does not rain because if it does you are out of luck IF they cancel Fantasmic. They do not give you tickets for another seating.

Thank you, tina_la, I just called and changed my reservation to a Fantasmic package. I'm embarrassed to admit in all my visits to WDW, I've never seen Fantasmic, so I'm looking forward to it!

we went to Fantasmic for the very first time last year and it was great! My family enjoyed it and I thought this year we would try the package and see how that was. With free DDP there's no additional cost so why not . If it does happen to be canceled we didn't pay any extra and we will just go another night and fight the crowds .

Yes, it is $10 per person...you must cancel 48 hours prior to avoid this fee.

CraftyOtt- I meant there was not a charge if Disney canceled the show but yes there is a charge if you cancel without notice as the previous poster said.

the workman family- I wonder why you couldn't get the appy? From what I read it is included at Mama Melrose I don't know why Brown Derby wouldn't . They even told me it was over the phone when I booked but again that was for Mama Melrose. . They also mentioned several times while making all my ADR's that tip was not included except at CRT. I guess trying to get the word out.

Anybody else try the fantasmic package at the Brown Derby with the same results? One of the reasons we're doing the package with 2 TS credits is to get the appetizers... Will have to rethink this now...

hmmmm, we have a fantasmic package with mama melrose coming up in june, but I did happen to call brown derby directly a few weeks ago, the person I talked to told me the fantasmic package comes with appetizer, entree, and dessert

I don't believe that the method of payment makes a difference (DDP vs. OOP) because either way you're buying the package, and those are the items that the package includes, whether at brown derby or mama melrose.
