Dining plan and ADR's?

DH is planning our May trip all by himself and he's keeping everthing a secret. UGH! It's driving me CRAZY! Anyhoo, he's already booked our ADR's and we've just decided to add the dining plan to our ressie. (We're DVC so we don't need to buy a ticket package.) Do we need to call Disney Dining back and tell them that we will now be on the dining plan?

I don't think it's required, however, I would call and let them know. They always ask if you are on any sort of dining plan when you call, so obviously they would like to know.
I could NEVER allow DH to make all the plans...I'd go completely crazy
