Our next trip to WDW is in May 2009. Thanks to the new offer, we are doing a split stay so that we can stay longer. This will be the first time that we use the DDP and that we've done a split stay. Before I can make our ADR's I just want to make sure I understand how to do it the right way, and I know how much misinformation you can get from a CM. The first part of the trip is a 2 night stay at the CR May 9-11. Then on May 11 we check into the WL for 7 nights. All together we will be there for 9 nights. They did give me two seperate reservation numbers for each resort stay. Since they did that is it like they are two seperate vacations, so that from the time that I check into the CR until we check out on the 11th that we have 6 dining credits (we're on the DlxDDP) per person? Also, do I need to make sure that we use all of our snack credits before checking out of the CR on the 11th? Like I said, this is our first split stay and I have no problem admitting that I am totally clueless on how they work. Any help I can get on this or on any other information on doing a split stay would be amazing. If this is not the right place for this post, please Mods move it where ever you think it needs to be.
Thank you in advance for any help to make this trip the most magical one yet!!

Yes, you will each have six credits for the CR part of your trip. These must be used up by midnight of the day you check out of CR, so you will be able to use 'leftover' credits even after you check out of that hotel and into WL.

If you have any meal credits left, those too can be used until midnight - but you can't combine your CR credits with your WL credits. You can, for example, use two leftover CR credits to pay for one person's Signature dining, and two 'new' WL credits to pay for another person's - but you would not be able to use one CR credit per person plus one WL credit per person.

Clear as mud?

Thanks!!
That's what I was afraid of. I'll just have to double check to make sure that I plan it just right. I'll just have to think of it as 2 seperate vacations to make sure I don't plan on using too many credits towards the end of the stay.
