I printed the .pdf file about the dining plan and, the first thing I noticed is the following statement:

The Disney Dining Plan includes one Counter Service Meal, one Snack, and one Table Service Meal per person, per night of your package stay for everyone in the party ages 3+.

I was thinking of getting the dining plan but, what is my 2 year old supposed to eat?:confused3 Sometimes (at local restaurants), I'll order his own food if portions are small. Other times, I'll get an extra plate and give him some of mine. I don't want the dining police to haul me off while we are supposed to be on vacation. I also don't want to be accused of taking advantage of the dining plan by a server or something.:scared:

Your two-year old needs no ticket to enter the parks, and doesn't 'pay' separately for the dining plan.

Those under 3 eat free at buffets. At regular table-service, you can either order (and pay out-of-pocket) for a child's meal or he/she can share off your plate at no charge. They can also share a counter-service with an adult.

In June our family used the dining plane and our 2 yo twins just ate some of DH and I's food. Since you get so much food on the dining plan, it was perfect. No one seemed to think this was odd. At buffets they were always free. No one even charged us for their drinks.

We just returned from our trip 10/3-10/11 with our 2 yr old and her 8 yr old sister. We had no trouble sharing food with the 2 yr old. At the Castle, we were given buttered noodles and her chocolate milk for free during lunch. Her chocolate milk was never charged at many of the places we ate at (table services) Our 8yr old shared some of the bottled chocolate milks from counter services or they split a sprite or we bought a juice box. At Morocco, we were charged for the 2 yr's olds milk but our 8 yr old was not with us?? :confused3 Not sure if this was why.

We ate at mostly buffets due to my reasoning that we could come and go more freely with the girls and they are not great at sitting still for a formal dinner (my fault-poor parenting!) To our surprise, they were better than I expected. The noise and many characters kept they in their seats for longer than I could have hoped for. Especially wonderful was the Royal Table at the Castle (major domo pie was too delisious for words), Norway breakfast and Chef Mickey's. We also ate at O'hana and it was nice to have a short adult conversation while the 8yr old was playing games

Our little 2 yr old ate best at breakfast and then un-evenly during the day. Some snacks were poplular- popcorn and the ice pops and we carried goldfish and teddygrahms with us. She fought with her big sis to get the lion's share of a large order of Mc'd's fries in the animal kingdom on our last day! A great value for a snack in my eyes. Under $2.50 and it was very hot and fresh. Too hot at first but quickly eaten by my girls.

Are the fries included in the dining plan?

No the fries were not included as a snack but I didn't hesitate a moment "cause I knew my girls would eat them up! :goodvibes
