Hi-We are staying at OKW the first 4 nights of our trip and BWV for the last 3 nights. I would like to do the regular dining plan for our time at OKW, but want to wait and see if we are all TS'd out before adding a dining plan for our time at BWV..can I do this? Add the dining plan on day 2 or 3 for days 5-8 of our trip?

TIA:goodvibes

I think you can adjust the plan as needed. I am going to SSR in Nov. for Thanksgiving and staying fo 6 nights. Since we're arriving late the first night, we really don't require the dining for that night -- we were told, by DVC, that we could adjust it to 5 nights, etc. Hope this helps!

They no longer allow segmenting so this is not possible.

Dining plans need to be added 72 hours ahead of check in. OP is you reservation more than 1 reservation number? If so then as a long as it is 72 hours ahead you should be OK. If it is not then not sure how they handle it.

Thats weird because I just got off the phone with the CM and he said that if you have reservations at 2 different hotels even though the ressie number is the same, you can change dining plan.

I was asking about adding wine to the plan and he said that if I wanted, I could add wine to the first portion of my stay and not have it on the second. :confused3

Yes you can have different plans for different resorts. What I am unsure about is the ability to add the plan after her Reservation # is started even though it is for the first resort. At the latest the OP would have to add it 72 hours before the second reservation starts if they even allow it once her first stay starts. Weeks ahead of time is no problem at all after her vacation starts it may be.

Just booked dining for 1/2 of our split stay and I had the same reservation number but ms was able to give us a separate reservation number for 1/2 our stay. I don't know if that would solve your problem but could be worth a try.

You know there is no guarantee that you will be in the same room for both segments of your trip, right?

I was on the phone with MS today about some of our upcoming reservations. We have a split stay next summer between Jambo/concierge and Kidani. The CM said we would have to re-book the second segment with a different reservation number and we would then be able to purchase DDP for just one of the two segments. We are hoping to switch to BLT for the second half of the trip and add DDP for that stay, so I think I am going to wait until the 7 month mark to try that.

Having two reservation numbers should also (hopefully) eliminate the "bug" with the reservation number and DDP's confusion about the actual arrival day that we experienced 5 months ago with our October split stay.
