I booked my WDW package thru AAA. My 90 days out date is 3/15, so I am really starting to plan out my ADRs. When I get to my 90 day point, can I call and book my own ADRs? Or does my TA have to do it?

Thanks!

you can call and book your own. I'm not sure if the AAA agents will book your ADR's for you, mine didn't offer but I also didn't ask! I couldn't give up control of that anyway!

Your AAA TA will book them for you if you want them to, or you can do it yourself.I choose to do mine because my Ta is not in the office till after 830am most mornings.

We have gone thru AAA the last 4 trips and had the DDP but have always booked our own ADR's, I think it may be easier if you do it yourself cause you can switch things around if you may want a particular restaurant and it is available on a different day you can make that decision then and change other restaurant too suite.

We booked our own...

I believe the TA will help with that, but I wouldn't think it's there #1 priority. They are interested in booking your trip, and taking their commision, after that is done, they will help where they can, but when they get around to it.

As well, if you tell the TA you want (for instance) Le'Cellier at 6:00 pm on a certain date, if they try to book, and find out that it is not available at 6:00, but they do have 5:15 or 7:00, your TA may not know your personal preference, (whereas you can make the best decision for yourself on the spot).

I like the control - and when you do get the ADR you want, it's kind of a personal victory, something to enjoy yourself.

With all that said, I don't believe they have toll free 1-800's for dining, so without a good LD plan, you may be on hold for up to 30 mins at peak times, in which case let your TA incure those charges.

You are responsible for making your own ADR's. It's easier that way too. You may be told a certain time is unavailable and then can make the call yourself.

I always book my own ADRs...my AAA TA just doesn't get the importance of getting those ADRs Stat! and my sense of urgency just goes right over her head:lmao:

Seriously, though, she does not get in to the office until well after 8 (and much later on the days she works until 7 P.M.) so she's not going to be able to call when the reservation lines open at 6 a.m. Central Time.)

Related ?-- Some people are reporting having to provide a reservation # when making their ADRs 90 + 10. If your reservation is through AAA (mine is also) what number do you give? I have a client # used by my TA, but not an actual reservation number. Any idea?

We booked our Dec. 08 trip through AAA. We had it paid for by the middle of Mar.08. When it came time to make our ADR's (we got to do 180+10) I had my paper work with our itinerary from AAA. When the reservation CM asked for a number I told her we had booked through AAA and she told me what number to look for on the paper work. Hope this helps!:) Have a great time!
