Hi guys!

This first timer is looking for some help on booking a dining package or two for our upcoming trip.

I understand that I cannot book until 60 days out (which is from today :) YAY), but I am having a difficult time understanding what to expect and where you all would suggest we go!

It will be myself, my mother, 20 year old sister and my 8 year old daughter. I have been reading about the "Together Forever" show that is starting next month, does anyone know if they are offering dining packages for it? I am sorry I know this is probably a question that has been asked previously! Thanks so much in advance for your advice!

There are no dining packages for the fireworks show, since they are often cancelled due to winds or rain.

There is the Skyway Lounge in Tomorrowland but the view is not direct, and there is no refund if the fireworks are cancelled.

Thank you :) Do you know if the firework show is just on the weekend or will we be able to watch it any weeknights? We are planning to be in the park Tuesday-Friday (May 29th-June1st)

Fireworks are just on the weekends during the off season, but they're every night during peak seasons (and they might be nightly during Pixar Fest, I haven't been tracking that info). I believe Memorial Day is the standard kick-off of the Summer season, so it should be every night when you go.

My thought on dining packages is to start with where you want to eat. I don't think the dining packages are worth it for most situations just for the show aspect - but if you want to eat at that restaurant anyway, then it can be a nice add-on without costing too much more than a regular meal.

We will be there May 5th-8th and the fireworks are every night. I think maybe because of Pixar Fest and the limited run of Together Forever, they may keep it nightly. I hope so for your trip!

Thanks so much for your response! I will definitely take that into consideration, I have wondered whether or not the dining packages are worthwhile.

You're welcome! And by the way, I do think there are some circumstances where they're worth it even if you're not thrilled about the restaurant - for example if the dining package provides an actual chair and you're traveling with someone who has a hard time with standing and/or sitting on the ground. But since this isn't important for everyone, and since many of the dining packages don't actually provide a seat, it's not necessarily worth it.

For example, the WoC dining packages (other than the dessert party) just allow you access to a specific area, but it's still standing room only. On my most recent trip, we just used regular FP and we were able to stand directly on the other side of the rope, so we were right next to the people with dining packages and had the same view they had, and actually our section was less crowded than theirs. In that circumstance, it wouldn't have been worth it unless we genuinely wanted to eat at those restaurants.

Though, Fantasmic! fast pass area is a MESS! That could be "worth it" to get a good view. Blue Bayou package gives you a cushion to sit on, but the restaurant is iconic at DLR. The viewing section is front and center and somewhat sloped, so you can get a good view and do not have to be at the railing. There are a couple other packages that put you in a decent section, so check the threads for more info.
