Dining packages - worth it for a 10 year-old that eats very little?

Sometimes my writing doesn't come across properly. I definately meant it innocently and not as a 'get around'.
I was hoping that was the case and hence the reason for the warning instead of something harsher. Unfortunately, not a small number of people do come on the Disboards asking if it's okay if they say that their 10/11/12/13+ year old is only 9 to save money (be it on dining or park tickets). Worse still (I think) are the people that want their kids to lie about their ages if asked about it by a CM! You made it clear in later posts that you were not going to to say your 11 year old was a Disney child (under 10), so that cleared up that issue and I thought the thread was progressing along fine.

No, she definately looks older than 9, so I couldn't get away with that ;), but if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a large portion of food that she'll just look at... I'd like to take it back to the hotel for DH's midnight snack.

I'd recommend bringing a Ziploc baggie with you to put the leftover container in so that if there are any sauces/liquids, you won't end up having a mess on your hands later!

Yes, ziplocs!

OP, I have no other advice but I totally empathize. I have been mourning my middle DS turning 10 (many, many health challenges, eats very little, BMI less than 13) because that means we will never do the deluxe dining plan at WDW again (which we LOVE) and now we are expected to pay $60+ for him at BB for the FDP...it is what it is and I have been mentally preparing to emphasize that we make the most of these special experiences which will be fewer in number and, so, hopefully, treasured that much more, KWIM?

His older brother will happily eat his leftovers...possibly before we even get a chance to take them out of the restaurant, LOL.

Ziploc! Great idea. Yes, we'll make memories, but one is always cognizant of funds on trips like this.
