We're getting the dining plan and traveling with two preschoolers. My husband and I love great dining but want places that are fun for the kids too. What restaurants do you recommend in AK, MGM, and MK?? Also a great one in downtown disney?? TIA!!!!!!

Pizzafari is a good place at AK. It's air conditioned and the food is pretty good.

Magic Kingdom has TONS of options for little ones...Character dining at Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends is great! Liberty Tree Tavern has Mickey and Pals...

Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine at MGM is fun for kids. I believe it's got JoJo's Circus...is that what it's called? With Goliath and all those characters!

Those are the most fun places for pre-schoolers I think...I'm sure I'm missing some, but you are bound to get lots of advice!!!:thumbsup2

Liberty Tree Tavern is our favorite - the food is yummy and the characters and atmosphere are fantastic! Also, Crystal Palace is a beautiful restaurant with lots of good food, too. CRT is a must-do at least once, if you have daughters, but it will take two credits each from your dining plan.

At MGM, we don't really love any of the options. We liked the food at 50's Prime Time, but we had expected to get a fun server and ours was a real dud. We ate at Toy Story Pizza Planet last fall and loved it. I thought it was a great use of a CS credit b/c you also get a salad with the pizza there. This year we plan to take a boat from MGM to the Beach Club and try Beaches and Cream.

At AK, we loved Tusker House so I'm really sad it will now be a buffet place. It was my favorite CS in all of WDW. Oh well, I'm sure we'll give it a try next year as it will still be closed for renovations while we are there this fall. Lots of people seem to love Flame Tree, but I really dislike eating outside. I made an ADR for Rainforest Cafe for our AK day this fall, or we may journey over to the Boardwalk to try ESPN Cafe. I haven't decided for sure.

Also, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary is lots of fun for kids, and so is 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian!

Hi Ellie,
IMO:
MGM: I think the SciFi Cafe is so much fun as well as PrimeTime Cafe... I am not a big fan of Hollywood Dine as we think the food stinks... the only good part was seeing the Characters... The SciFi you sit in cars and watch a big movie screen like your outstide.. they have great burgers and shakes... The PrimeTime Cafe is just fun.. Plus if you get a good waiter/ress they really have a good time w/ the table.

MK- everywhere you go is so much fun... Crystal Palace is great because of Pooh and friends. Also, If you take the tram from MK to the GF you can eat at 1900 PF- We loved it there or you can take the tram over to CR and eat at Chef Mickeys... Both are great buffets for all ages.

AK- we really liked the rainforest cafe but I dont know if that is on the dining plan... if you eat inside the parks we really liked the flame tree bbq.
