Can you tell me what places you would recommend on Thanksgiving? We are currently planning a trip that week.

We were in Disney this past Thanksgiving and had a blast. We tried Whispering Canyon Cafe at 3pm and loved the meal. It was 1 credit and there were endless amounts of food! Skillets filled with turkey, pork, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, veggies, cornbread, stuffing, and more...plus pumpkin pie for dessert. Everyone in my party of 11 raved about it.

Enjoy!!!

alliebelle3 - Can you order off a regular or kids meal on Thanksgiving day at the Whispering Canyon? We will not be on the dining plan due to a 12 year old picky eater (we found out it's a better value for us to pay as we go). My question - is the skillet the only option on Thanksgiving day?

TracyM89 - this will be our 3rd time celebrating Thanksgiving at WDW. We love it! The crowds pick up on Wednesday and we usually spend Thanksgiving morning in park and spend the rest of the day watching football at the resort. We ate at the Polynesian Luau dinner one year and the Kona Cafe one year. The Kona offered a traditional Thanksgiving meal and a regular menu. Make sure you book your Thanksgiving meal on the first day it opens. The reservations seem to go fast!

Yes, the Thanksgiving skillet was the only option. It wasn't one skillet per person, but instead family style...all you care to enjoy.
