I understand that they have rotating dining and you have to set up your time to have dinner, my question is do you have to go to dinner, what if you do not want to go to a sit down dinner each evening, is other options open. I see they have buffets, is that only during the day or are they at night. If you decided not to go to the dining rooms for sit down on the first night do you miss your chance to go the others? what about during the day, can you get snacks at places, my kids are eat and run hot dog and hamburger kind of kids a big meal is not their favorite thing, certainly if they feel they can be doing something else instead of sitting and eating a full course meal (not to mention how pickey they are) Sorry for all the questions, but I know someone can answer for me, I am trying to cover all the bases before I book. Also can I take my own beverages on board to help keep down cost of soda?

You do not have to go to the rotational sit-down dinner each night.

Snacks are available during the day. Pizza at Pinnochios (by the family/Goofy pool). Burgers/hot dogs/tacos/sandwiches/french fries at Plutos (by the kids/mickey pool).

No need to take your own soda, as the Deck 9 drink station has free soda, available all day long. Soda is also free for all lunches and dinners.

You can also eat at Topsiders, the restaurant on deck 9. It is much more casual. They have a good selection andn you can sit at your own table. Dinner is also quicker than eating in the dining rooms. Also, room service is an option.

Your table in the dining room will be there for you each night, whether you go on the first night or not. If you know that you won't be in the dining room on a particular evening, it is a courtesy to tell your server the night before (if you don't know the night before, don't worry..no big deal). If you know that you won't be there, they won't set the table for you--saving them some work as well as not wasting water for washing dishes, table linens, etc.

There are many dining options all over the ship--Palo (adults only), deck 9 outlets (Pluto's dog house (hamburgers, etc), Pinocchio's Pizza, Scoops ice cream and fruit, Topsiders buffet/casual dining, room service, and late night snacks in the club area are some of them.
