We haven't dined in Japan in a long time and want to go again on our trip this summer. Does the table service restaurant still have the chef doing his cooking at a table you sit around like Benihana's? If so, which one does - Teppan Edo or Tokyo Dining?

Thanks for the help. :goodvibes

That would be Teppen Edo. We were there last summer and had a GREAT time!

Moparop - when you did Teppen Edo last summer did you take your kids and if so, did they enjoy it?

We ate there in Feb. loved it. We had my niece and nephew who are 11 and 9, they had a great time. We eat there every year.

Not Moparop, but we took our two boys (just turned 8, and 5) in November and they loved it! They both said it was their favorite meal of the trip, and when I asked (planning for May's trip), they said they'd like to go back to the place with the "onion volcano".

I think the little show the chef puts on when cooking the food is such fun for kids.. As long as they do not touch the grill, I think they will enjoy the show and the food is good too..

Yep...Teppan Edo. We LOVE it! We have gone twice now since it switched over, and it was wonderful! Great food, great service, and a good time! We are going back in May!
