Hello,
Everyone always has great ideas so here I am again. We are looking at when we are in Disney the Sept 26th - Oct 6th having one BIG family dinner. Any thoughts or ideas on a party that big.
Hoopdee Doo is just a little too much now with the price increases. We are thinking Boma or Chef Mickey. Any ideas???

I've been with 15 people, not quite your number, and what we found difficult was finding somewhere that would let us sit at least somewhat together AND not rush us. "Off" time slot will help. We did Boma and enjoyed it, but did feel somewhat rushed (supper time in July, so not a surprise, unfortunately). How about a different resort restaurant? You can ask the ressie agent for suggestions, too. The German restaurant in epcot seats you at long trestle tables, so you'd be apt to be together. Trail's End, at the campground, never leaves us feeling rushed, esp. if you did a late lunch/early supper. Whispering Canyon at WL, maybe? I'm sure others will chime in!

We are going down as part of a group of 18 for Christmas and New Years.

We have ADR's for Ohana, Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, and the Biergarten. Ohana and Biergarten seem good for big groups. We are just doing character meals/buffets because of all the different tastes and some very picky eaters.

Have fun deciding. :)

We had a group of 19 and ate at WCC (2 tables of 10 next to each other), Ohana (all at one big table), Chef Mickey's (tables all along one wall), Sci Fi (2 cars and a "stretch" limo) and Le Cellier (along one corner in an "L" shape).

We had a blast! We did have to eat early or late, though, to be seated all together.

In January we went to LeCellier, WCC, O'hana, Boma, and 50's Prime Time. I've only made reservations for Jan 08 for O'hana so far. Book early - there was only 1 seating near our time frame to get a table that would hold all of us.
Hope you all have a great trip.

Forgot to add we did the Hoop Dee Do at one big table

Their are group dining CMs that can help you when you call Disney Dining.
We have a group of 15.

If you are talking about this Sept., I would call immediately, as most places are getting booked up fast.

They told me my best bet was opening or closing of any dining slot. We have a lot of 4-4:30 pm type ADRs.

We have ADRs for 17 at Narcoossees on August 20th. We could only choose the earliest time slot (5:30PM).

Kona Cafe did an excellent job handling our party of 20. I would think Ohanas would be great also.

We had 10 people on Christmas Eve this past year at Chefs de France (sp?). They orchestrated it beautifully.

Like Yoopermom, we are usually around 15 people. and we try to have dinner together every night no matter where everyone is that day ( I say try... we don't ALWAYS manage ).

One thing is if you are willing to split up, it'll make it easier, but I can understand if that's not desirable. Places we've had good group meals are Biergarten, Big River Grille and Brew Works, Rose & Crown (outside, they sat us by lining up a bunch of tables ), Mama Melrose and Hollywood & Vine, Cape may Cafe and the Rainforest cafe.

I would recommend you book your ASR as far in advance as you can!

We had a group of 40+ at LTT in December 2004. All ages, from an infant and up! They seated us in one area, but at a number of tables, which was fine. Characters were terrific, and I even enjoyed the food! ;)
