dining during MVMCP

I have a mvmcp question that I'm sure is easily answered, but I can't find it anywhere. How do table service restaurants work on night of the party? I've heard that they don't serve during party hours, but it doesn't make sense that they would close four nights a week during busy season. Going to party 11/17, can't wait!

IIRC, they do close early. MOst people do not want to waste time dining during a party, so they would be empty past 7PM. If you are going to the party, try to get dinner by 5PM so you don't lose any party time. If you are nt going tot he party, get your ADT by 6:45 the latest, and then make sure you are checked in by that time. You will not be admitted after 7, ADR or not, if you do not have tickets to the party.

You can schedule an ADR at any table service restaurant up to (but not including) 7 PM on a party night. You will be able to eat during the party, but will then be escorted to the front of the park.

It's actually a very smart touring plan to play in the park as long as you can, then have a 6:55 ADR on party night if you aren't attending.

We usually eat a late lunch, early dinner. Like around 3pm, we'll eat somewhere. Then we'll snack during the party.

We do the same thing, typically around 4, but same approach. That allows us to get off our feet and rest, but be fed and ready to go in time to line up early for any of the harder to see characters.

What you want to avoid is spending your party time sitting in a restaurant somewhere. Start the evening with your tummy full, then snack as needed later in the night.

Don't wait too late to eat though since the counter service places that remain open don't stay open all the way until midnight. And the food courts will be closed when you get back after the party.

Easy there - I was just saying so I made a notation of it in the offical thread that maybe I should gather a FAQ for people who maybe are having difficulties with dining options on party days.
