I am thinking of booking a reservation for my mom and I at Shula's. What is the dress code? We were thinking of wearing a nice dress for dining there but would we be overdressed? I think it would be nice to have a night to dress up in a nice dress and heels, but don't want to be overdressed!

Also....for those who have been to cirque de solei...is that a normal dress code? shorts and t-shirt?

Thanks!

Thanks. So i guess a dress and heels would be too much? Are there any places that you would recommend (besides V & A) that wearing a dress and heels wouldn't be too much?

Especially for dinner, I have seen many dressed up nicely. If you like to dress up by all means do so!! You will see all ranges of dress though being at a theme park. Some come from the parks and some return to the hotel to change!!

I love getting dressed up!!! I wore dresses & skirts when we went to signature dining with heels or "dressy" flip flops.

You will see such a variety of people there that you'll fit in no matter what you wear.

A dress is not too dressed up for Shulas. When we were there, there was a Gartner conference going on - and there were tons of IT Execs in suits.

I don't think a dress is too dressed up at any signature spot. We sat next to a woman at Flying Fish - apparently they were there for their anniversary - who had on a beautiful beaded gown.

We got dressed up for all the signatures but not over dressed. It was fun & different to do this in Disney.

I went to Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba. I would say that shorts and t-shirts may be underdressed. Business casual is more appropriate and I don't believe that dress clothes would be too overdressed. Think about a night to your downtown theater to get a better idea.

I just wear a cotton dress and nice flip flops and sometimes that can seem overdressed compared to others :rotfl2:

I hear you , but being on vacation wear what makes you Comfortable (within reason) and remember those suits you see in the rest will not be going back to the parks, its FLA and its HOT!!!!!

When we went to Shula's I had on a dress and heels and did not feel over dress at all. It is one of those places that it is easy to feel underdressed.

Like DW says, it's nice to get out of the "park clothes, and enjoy a nice meal sometimes. Normally, I wear a polo shirt and a pair of khaki pants, DW a nice top and casual slacks.

Wow, I'm surpised no one has come on yet to defend wearing their cutoffs and t-shirts yet. Even though, it is "Disney", there's nothing wrong with dressing appropriately.
