Hi There,

Have sorted out the Disney side of our holiday but we are staying at HRH for 4 nights at the end - Do we need to make ADR's for breakfast and possible Evening meals?

If so , any recommendations please. There will be me, DH, DS (15) and DD
(7)
Thanks Everyone

Kx

No reservations needed for breakfast unless you are doing a character dining breakfast.
For most dinners you have next available seating by using your room key. That does NOT apply to restaurants at the hotels or at Emeril's.
We love Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort. You can make reservations on line at www.opentable.com
Our all time favorite restaurant at Universal is Mythos which is in Islands of Adventure. Unless the parks are open late, they don't stay open for dinner so try to do a lunch there.

i never make a ressie for restaurants when i am at universal.

have never had a problem either in getting a table.
i have been going for years annually and have not had any difficulty in getting seated.

for HRC, i show my all access card and have no wait.

for city walk, i show my hotel key card and get priority seating.

if you have a large group of 8 or more, i suggest you do early dining or call for a ressie.

there is a booth in city walk where you can make reservations in advance or for the same day.

when i stay at hrh, i never ever make a ressie for the Kitchen for the breakfast buffet or lunch......

and i have never waited over 3 minutes for a table.

if you want a light breakfast, try Pastamore side window in city walk for a cheap breakfast. i think it will run you about $5.

or try the island breakfast buffet or menu order at royal pacific.

show your aaa card if you have it for a 10% discount.

one thing i can mention, city walk restaurants get very busy on the weekends once it hits 6:20. if you have a large group, it could take until 8:15ish for seating if you arrive during a busy time. it slacks off around 8 ish in the evening or a tad later, depending on the day of the week you are there.

emerils and tchoup tchoup are different. lunch is accesible during the week without a ressie but for dinners, do plan to make one if you eat there.

Over the Christmas holiday, it didn't seem to matter whether you had priority seating or not. It seemed like the wait time was still huge and as if you were being seated right along with the walk-ins.:confused3

I remember calling several restaurants at Citywalk during the christmas holiday and most of them told me that due to the peak season they were only doing walk ins.

Just spotted this thread, thanks Karen :thumbsup2

This helps with a bunch of questions I have about our stay at HRH in July :thumbsup2

Always at RPR during July, and have never made reservations. If you want there is a Kiosk where you could make them on the day if you wanted, it is round where the escalator is as you come into Citywalk, by the Endangered Species store.

My DD 13 loves most places around Citywalk-NBA-Margaritaville-Nascar-Pastamore is one of our Favs-Bubba Gumps-Islands at RPR and Jakes as well
