Dining Discount Question

My DS20 and DS18 (at the time of trip next June) want to eat at Kimonos one night. My DH is not a sushi eater, so we were thinking of going to Flying Fish. I will probably have a TIW card, but I realize he will not be able to use it since my name will be on it (plus we plan on using it at our meal). There is a 20% DVC discount at Kimonos, but I have a feeling it's the same as the TIW. His name is not on the DVC membership card, so I'm thinking he will not be able to use it. Is there anyway to get the discount?

The CMs are supposed to ask for ID and show that along with proof of discount (AP Discount card, DVC Card, TiW card, etc.) to a manager who then applies the discount to the check.

I will be paying for the meal. So is there a way for me to show up toward the end of the meal and use my DVC card to get the discount and pay for it? Or do I have to actually eat there? That's the only way I figured I might be able to get it. I figured he wouldn't be able to use my DVC membership card.
