Me and my dad are going to WDW for free dining!! YAY!! We have 4 TS credits. He has never been. I currently have these ressies : Ohanas, WCC, Garden Grille, and Chefs de France. I really wanted to go to Le Cellier, but can't get a ressie for lunch or dinner for our entire trip :scared: Anyway... I have eaten at all of these places.. this is my dad's 1st trip to WDW. He really loves a good steak, so I am considering changing the Chefs De France ADR to Kona Cafe. I have never eaten there, so I am not sure. Also, that would make 3 of my choices in the MK area, and we will probably spend more time at the other parks, since he has been to DLR many times, and will want to see "new" things. I don't want to have a hassle getting to an ADR if we are not in the area, and don't want to be a slave to the MK because of dining choices. What would YOU do? Is there another place for 1TS credit that offers a really good steak? TIA!!!

I think Kona is better than WCC and 'Ohana - I'd replace Kona with one of those if possible. Kona is very very good. That would keep you with two MK spots and two Epcot spots.

would consider dropping Garden Grill and heading over to the Yachtsman. It is a 2 credit place, but a high end steakhouse could be a great treat.

I've heard that Yachtsman steakhouse at the
yacht club has killer steaks! It is 2 TS but you could pay for one meal out of pocket. It is also a hop, skip and jump from Epcot and DHS!
Good luck!!!!:goodvibes

Yachtsman is wonderful! We ate there in January with the DDP, I had the ribeye, DH the porterhouse and DDs had the chateaubriand for two. With the desserts for each it would have been close to $250 with tip, but it was divine! We won't do the DDP again and for our upcoming trip we're taking DD11. DD13 and her 13 year old BFF, so with the OOP pricing no Yachtsman for us! Personally we don't care for LeCellier, have dined there 3 times, always OOP and find it over rated.

I was a bit late last year making my ADRs - I REALLY wanted the Fantasmic package at Brown Derby - but I had 8 people so calling a month before was unheard of. BUT, I programmed WDW Dining into my cell phone and everyday I would call on my way to work and on my way home. Within a week I had the ressie. Moral....someone always cancels and something opens up. You just need to be the lucky one to get it. I have also found around 10:00am on the day I want the ressie there is sometimes availability cuz people cancel that morning. So - make the back up plan for now - but keep trying for LeCellier!
