Dining decisions! I'm going mad!

I made reservations for our stay at WDW for stupid Dec 7-14 not knowing about discounts or free dining for mid December AND that Pop Warner is going to be there :scared: . I made them without a dining plan.

Let's see, I have two young children who barely eat anything but husband eats like a pig and I'm willing to cut back on a lot to save money. But I have to have the Dole Whip, Green Tea ice cream and the occasional sit down desserts (y'all know). I think the only ressie I made was for a character breakfast with Donald. Le Cellier (THE ONLY ONE I TRULY WANTED) is all booked! Ugh! :sad2:

So I have yet to calculate all this but wondering if the DDP will come in our favor can I add it on at the last minute?!

I swear I'm losing my mind over this.

Actually it is 72hrs (3 days) prior.

The Basic DP is $9.99 for a child and $37.99 for an adult. If both your children are 3-9yos the DP is a pretty good deal. If you assume $3 for a snack that means the kids would get a TS and CS meal each day for your $7 expense, a great deal at WDW.

The fact that your hubby wants to eat suggests that if you can afford the DP it would be a good deal.

Even if Pop Warner,Mousefest, and free dining weren't going on Le Cellier would still be extremely difficult to get.I booked at exactly 180 days out(March 25th for a Sept 22 dining date), and only had 2 choices for times 405p or 930pm.This was 180 days out too.I could not get Chef Mickeys for the trip either. Now I did go at the very end of general public free dining, but still 6 mos out it was hard.I had a small party of 3.i also asked about a party of 4.The DP may or may not save you money..you would definitely need to add it on 72 hrs prior to check in though.

I don't think there is free dining that week. I know there is Dec 14 to the 20th, but not the week before...so I don't think that's what's affecting the restaurants being booked up.

It's just me and my Dbf going in December, but we love food so the DDP is a good value for us.

There is still one more reservation that I'm trying to get for our trip and I'm hoping at the 45 day mark things will open up as people find they can't afford the trip and cancel.

I bet if you wait till the 45 day mark which is atound the 23 of October or so
I bet there will be a few open up good luck:banana:
